How to Connect Bose Headphones & Earbuds to Apple Watch

If you recently purchased a new pair of Bose headphones, earbuds, or Apple Watch, then you’re probably eager to pair these devices together. Let’s take a look at how you can easily connect your Bose device to your Apple watch, as well as how to fix common pairing issues. Let’s dive in!

  1. Put your device into pairing mode by removing your earbuds from the case
  2. a white light should appear indicating the earbuds are ready to pair
  3. On your Apple watch device go to Settings –> Bluetooth –> a List of devices should appear -> Select your device.

How To Connect Bose Headphones to Apple Watch:

  1. Put your device into pairing mode by turning your headphones on (If you previously paired your headphones with another device, make sure you unpair your headphones from the device to avoid pairing issues.)
  2. A white light will appear at the bottom of your Bose headphones, indicating they are ready to be paired.
  3. On your Apple watch device go to Settings –> Bluetooth –> a List of devices should appear -> Select your device.

What To Do If Your Bose Headphones or Earbuds arent Connecting to Your Apple Watch:

You may experience connection issues with your device; however, this can be resolved easily with a few methods.

1. Quick Fix: Airplane Mode Hack

First, ensure your Bose earbuds or Headphones are on pairing mode, then simply turn on Airplane mode on your apple watch, turn on Bluetooth on your Apple watch then pair your device with Airplane mode on. This should solve the issue by eliminating interference from other devices.

If you’re are still experiencing connection issues move on to the next step.

2. Clear Bose Headphones & Earbuds From Bluetooth Pairing list

The Bose headphones & earbuds will remember the last Bluetooth devices it was connected to in order to allow for quick and easy pairing. However, this can cause an issue when connecting to a new device as your old device is trying to maintain a connection even when not paired to your bose headphones or earbuds.

To solve this problem, you can simply clear your headphone or earbuds Bluetooth pairing list. Follow the instructions below to clear your Bose headphones & Earbuds Bluetooth pairing list:

  1. Power off the headphones
  2. Press and hold the Power/Bluetooth button for 10 seconds until you hear “Bluetooth device list cleared.”

Your headphones or earbuds will then return to pairing mode; simply reconnect your Bose device to your Apple watch.

If you’re still experiencing connection issues move on to the next step.

3. Reset Your Headphones or Earbuds

Resetting your Bose headphones or earbuds will return your device to its original out-of-the-box state. This can help fix connection & sound issues.

Restart Bose Earbuds:

  1. Plugin your charger to the charging case with the earbuds inside the case
  2. Close the charging case lid for 5 seconds, then open the lid
  3. Press and hold the Bluetooth button in the charging case for 30 seconds. Your device’s LED light will blink white and then turn blue.
  4. If you haven’t already done so, remove or “forget” your headphones from your previous device in order to prevent connection issues.
  5. Reconnect your Bose earbuds to your Apple watch

Reset Bose Headphones:

  • Shut off your Bose headphones and wait for 30 seconds
  • Plugin your device to a wall outlet with the USB charger & wait 5 seconds
  • Unplug the charger from your headphones & wait for one minute
  • Power on your product.
  • Reconnect your headphones to your Apple watch

4. Restart Your Apple Watch

If the previous methods didn’t seem to work, the next step is to restart your apple watch. To do so, follow the instructions below:

  1. Press and hold the side button until you see the Power Off slider.
  2. Drag the Power Off slider.
  3. After your watch turns off, press and hold the side button again until you see the Apple logo.

How To Fix Bose One Earbud Not Working Problem:

The most common solution to this problem is to simply re-sync your device. To do so:

  1. Make sure you turn off Bluetooth on all devices within 30 ft of the earbuds to avoid interference.
  2. Place earbuds in the charging case for 5 seconds.
  3. Remove earbuds from the case. The earbuds and charging case should now communicate as normal.

If this doesn’t seem to work, the next step is to reset your device or turn it off in-ear detection.
