Your Oculus Quest requires both devices to be on the same Wi-Fi network in order to cast.

Restart both devices

Restarting both devices is a relatively simple solution but believe it or not, in most cases, this tends to solve the issue. This allows both devices to start fresh and establish a connection without internal interference.

Check your router settings; you’ll want all instances of IP multicasting enabled as well as P2P connections.

Next, check your router settings; you’ll want to have all instances of IP Multicast enabled as well as P2P connections. This allows your Oculus Quest to communicate with your device effectively.

If the issue still persists, try using both a 2.4 and 5.0GHz Wi-Fi connection.

Note: The Oculus Quest headset and Firestick need to be on the same band.

Power Cycle your Modem & Router

If the issue still persists, you’ll want to try power cycling your modem and router. This may help establish a connection between both devices.

Reset your Oculus Quest

If none of the solutions above seemed to work, your last option is to reset your Oculus Quest. However, it’s important to note that this will delete everything on your device & restore it back to its factory settings.
