  1. Download the recovery tool for Stealth 700 Gen 2 PS. If you accidentally use the wrong recovery tool, you will need to contact the Turtle Beach support team
  2. Use the USB-C cable that came with the headset to plug the headset into your computer. A USB transmitter will not work for this process.
  3. Double-click on the recovery tool file you just downloaded.
  4. A new window will open and ask you to ensure that your headset connects through the USB. Click the “Yes” button and the “Allow Access” when Window Defender asks for permission. It should take about 5 minutes to run, and several windows will open. Don’t interact with any of the windows.
  5. A dialogue box will open saying “Programming Complete. Please unplug and restart your headset” when the process is over. Unplug your headset and click “OK.”
  6. Ensure that you have Turtle Beach Audio Hub downloaded. Connect your headset and transmitter to your computer, then open Audio Hub. Audio Hub should detect the headset and prompt you to update the headset’s firmware. The update should take a few minutes to complete.
  7. Pair your headset with its USB transmitter.
    1. Plug the USB transmitter into your PlayStation. The LED will blink twice to show it’s searching for the headset.
    2. Press and hold the headset’s power button, which will power on the headset. Its LED should also blink twice to show it’s searching for the transmitter.
    3. Both LEDs should turn solid to show a successful pairing, and the headset should announce “headset paired.”
  8. You will need to repeat the pairing process for any connection you want since the recovery tool will erase any previous ones.

How to Reset Your Stealth 700 Headset

Most issues with your headset can have an easy fix of resetting it to factory settings. Resetting will help get rid of anything that might interfere with the headset working correctly.

To reset your headset:

  1. Press and hold the Bluetooth and Mode buttons for about 20 seconds. The blue LED will turn off when the reset process starts.
  2. You can now turn on your headset.

Hopefully, this reset will get rid of anything causing issues for your headset.

Why Your Stealth 700 Keeps Turning Off

You may find that your headset occasionally turns off on its own. Usually, this is because there is a timer that detects game or mic audio. If there is a long enough time to detect no audio, it automatically goes into shut-off mode. You should hear a warning before it does this to let you know a shutdown is happening.

Another reason your headset turns off randomly could be that you have too many apps running simultaneously. Some applications can cause interference with the connection, and some devices limit the number of applications that can run all at once. Limit the number of applications running, even if they are running in the background, and see if your headset works correctly.

How to Fix a Stealth 700 Headset that Isn’t Charging

It may be that you can’t turn on your headset because it isn’t charging correctly. If this is the case, you can try:

  • Check that the charging cable or charge port doesn’t have damage. Lightly blow out any debris or dust that might be there and look at the pins to see if any are bent.
  • Try a different but compatible charging cable. It may be that the cable you are currently trying to use has something wrong with it.

If you find something wrong with the charge port or the battery, you will have to buy a new headset as neither of those parts has an easy fix. There are ways for you to replace the battery if you want to, but it is easier and cheaper to look for a new set in most cases.
